About me.

I have the pleasure of working at EY as Partner, Artifical Intelligence and Advanced Analytics Leader in the Africa region. In the role I help clients remain competitive in a disruptive environment by combining data, technology, human-centered design and deep industry experience.

Originally trained as an actuary, my passion is solving business problems in new and innovative ways; leveraging my unique skillset to do so.Whether it be in valuing a provision – like actuaries have traditionally done –  using a robot to automate it and a new technique to make it more accurate or predicting the next product a customer will want – like I did in a recent project for one of the South African banks.

My other passion is coaching and teaching. I used to lecture part-time at Wits university until my schedule meant it was no longer feasible. This is why I became a consultant. It offers me a career which is a unique intersection between all of these passions. It allows me to solve new and interesting problems everyday – without getting bored. But, like I tell my team, a consultancy is about growing people as much as it is about servicing clients. And being here affords me the opportunity to train some of the brightest minds in the country.
